IRCTC signs MOU with UPICO to provide training to the students



LUCKNOW: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with U.P. Industrial Consultant Limited (UPICO). The MoU was signed by AK Manocha, CMD IRCTC and Pravin Singh, Managing Director/UPICO in the presence of senior officers of IRCTC and UPICO.

UPICO will conduct certified course under IRCTC and promote the course (IRCTC-UPICO). The purpose of the certified course is to provide training to the students to upgrade their skills. UPICO will provide training to candidates for all courses to be conducted in the state of UP with provision of infrastructure and trained faculty.


UPICO will also maintain data of all candidates trained under the above programme and will provide the same to IRCTC. “The skill up-gradation of auto & taxi drivers working at railway stations will also be undertaken by UPICO as per IRCTC requirement”, Pravin Singh said.


IRCTC will provide on the job training at its units. UPICO and IRCTC will issue certificates to qualified candidates jointly.
