UP board declares Class 10 exam results, Check it here

The Class 10 results of UP Board were declared from its Allahabad headquarters on Sunday. The Class 12 results will also be declared shortly.

This year the board has set a new record as it has announced the results ahead of ISC and CBSE boards.

A total of 64.23 lakh examinees had registered for the examination — 34,98,430 examinees for the high school (Class 10) and 29,24,768 candidates for the intermediate exam (Class 12) respectively.
 
In Lucknow, a total of 57,874 students appeared in the high school exam and 50,475 candidates took the intermediate exam.
 
UP Board is fast losing its popularity. This trend can be gauged from the fact that as many as seven lakh less students appeared in the UP Board examination that was held between February and March in 2015.
 
The examinees’ count for the high school exam has decreased by 4,94,769 this year. For the intermediate (class 12) exam, the number has come down by 2,02,298.
 
The newer schools are either seeking affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the ISC Board. Many of the UP Board schools have also sought affiliation from the aforesaid boards in the recent past.
 
A board official, however, explained that the online registrations this year had done away with bogus registrations which used to be used by the copying mafia who would get their candidates enrolled at the last minute on the pretext of corrections in the enrollment list.
 
The examinations were held in two shifts — the first one from 7.30am to 10.45am and the second from 2pm to 5.15pm. A total of 11,058 examination centres were set up to accommodate nearly 64 lakh students.
 
The high school examination was completed in 15 working days between February 19 and March 11. The intermediate examination were held in 25 working days from February 19 to March 23.
